These days, we see so many beauty hacks all over the web, from online magazine sites claiming to have the new beauty secrets to Pinterest with it's home remedies and hacks. Today I thought I would share with you my top 3 beauty tricks that really work - I use them daily!
1) Doing your eyebrows before your makeup
1) Doing your eyebrows before your makeup
I can hear the gasps now! What is this madness?! Haha I know it sounds insane but I promise I get much better eyebrow results doing it this way!
I prep like usual; wash face, moisturize and prime. Then, I take a tiny bit of loose powder on my finger and dab it gently over my brow area, this gets rid of any oil and will keep your brow makeup lasting longer. Then I get my eyebrow pencil and draw a general outline - it honestly goes on so much smoother as it's not getting stuck/lost/melting on top of your foundation.
I then do the rest of my face as usual, using the thin tip of my beauty blender to apply foundation around my brow area, so not to just accidentally cover them up again! Once the rest of my makeup is done, I finally fill my brows in fully with a brow powder, just to ensure they are still bold in case any other makeup has got on them.
I know it sounds so bizarre that this would make a difference but I have honestly got so many compliments on looking good and makeup looking amazing since I've done this, yet people can't put their finger on exactly what's different! I promise you - try it a couple of times and you will be hooked :)
2) Apply dry shampoo at night, not morning
I know the feeling - wake up, gross hair, no time to wash it and the dry shampoo comes out. It's the only saviour in these situations but it does leave that white powdery feeling, that transfers over everything whenever you touch your hair and the fear when you leave the house that your hair looks white!

Solving this is SO simple.
For me, I wash my hair roughly every other day. I know that the day in between, or if I miss a day, will leave my roots a bit greasy the next morning. So the night before I go to bed, I spray dry shampoo in my hair. You don't have to even deal with that gross rubbing it in your hair feeling or brushing through and ruining your hairbrush - just spray and leave it. It will magically absorb in over night and when you wake up, you will have hair that looks freshly washed with no signs of dry shampoo being your secret saviour!

Uh oh. Wake up and suddenly there's a huge white head spot on your face. Putting foundation, concealer and powder just seems to make it look even more obvious and cakey. But don't fear...this weird tip works.
Instead, apply your foundation as usual, skip the concealer and then take a cotton bud (Q-tip) and dip it in a little bit of loose powder. Then gently dab this over the white head and it will pretty much disappear the spot! It will look so much more blended with your makeup, rather than drawing more attention to it. I have absolutely no idea why this works but I promise you it has saved me on so many occasions and lasts all day!
So, have you tried any of the beauty hacks?! Or do you know of any others? Let me know your results in the comments below!

I have to try the third hack as I've been breaking out like crazy- fingers crossed it works for me!
